Welcome to the first chapter of Yellow Brick Ramble! This is my graphic novel-but-also-a-webcomic reboot of The Marvelous Land of Oz, the second book in L. Frank Baum's original 14 book Oz series.

I'm starting with the second book because, let's face it, the first one's been adapted countless times. Everyone knows Dorothy's story. I want to have fun reimagining Ozma's story!

Now, you don't have to be familiar with the original story to enjoy this comic, but be aware it's not a 100% faithful adaptation. My versions of Mombi, Tip/Ozma, The Sawhorse, and General Jinjur are different from the ones in the original book, so sometimes they make different decisions and lead the plot in different directions.

I hope you grow to love these incarnations of these characters as much as I do!
