"Coydalin Rowl" is an anagram of "Cowardly Lion". He married the Hungry Tiger, his best friend who was properly introduced in the third book. Though, there was an unnamed tiger with a speaking role in the first book who may have been the same tiger. His whole shtick is he really wants to eat people, but he doesn't because he has morals.

I gave the Queen of the Field Mice a punny name. Baum loved giving Ozian characters made-up and/or punny names, so I'm just following i his footsteps in naming these previously unnamed characters. I changed her design a little after realizing I made the mice look too much like rats on the chapter title page. (I went back and redrew all their tails as of this update.)
